About Nosy Mitsio

Nosy Mitsio is the largest island in the Mitsio archipelago off the northwest coast of Madagascar in the Diana Region. The island and its surrounding islets are noted for white-sand beaches, fringing coral reefs and traditional fishing villages.

Visitors come for day trips or short stays to snorkel and dive the reefs, explore remote beaches and visit small coastal settlements. The islands retain a rural character and tourism infrastructure is limited compared with nearer Nosy Be.

The Mitsio group lies off Madagascar’s northwestern coastline and is accessed by boat from Nosy Be and other regional ports.
