How to Get to North Sound Estates
North Sound Estates on Grand Cayman is reached via Owen Roberts International Airport (GCM) in George Town; the island has no rail service and most onward travel is by taxi, private transfer or the small public bus network. Taxis provide the fastest door-to-door option, while the island's public buses are the cheapest for short hops.
Owen Roberts International Airport (GCM): The main airport for Grand Cayman, located near George Town. North Sound Estates (on the north side of the island) is about a 25-40 minute drive from GCM depending on traffic and exact location. Taxis from the airport to northern districts commonly cost CI$20-35 (roughly US$24-42) and private transfers are available.
Norman Manley / Montego Bay / regional flights: International travelers normally connect into GCM; other Caribbean hubs require flights and then a short hop to Grand Cayman via the main international services.
Train: There is no rail service on Grand Cayman.
Bus / Public transport: Grand Cayman’s public transport is informal and consists of small public buses running set routes from George Town to districts along the coast. Fares are low (typically CI$1-2 per ride) and buses run frequently on main corridors; for door-to-door or late-night service taxis are required. Travel times across the island are short (15-45 minutes) depending on origin and destination.
