How to Get to Norak
Norak (Nurek area) is usually reached overland from Dushanbe: fly into Dushanbe International Airport and continue by shared taxi, marshrutka or private car. Rail services exist but schedules are limited, so road travel is the common choice.
Dushanbe International Airport (DYU): The principal international gateway for reaching Norak (Nurek/Norak area) is Dushanbe Airport. From Dushanbe you can travel by road to Norak/Nurek (roughly 1-2 hours depending on exact start and vehicle) by shared taxi or private car; domestic flights to Norak are not common.
Kulyab / Bokhtar (regional airfields): These regional airports are much further away and used mainly for domestic legs; Dushanbe remains the practical international arrival point for most visitors.
