Nissan Stadium (also known as International Stadium Yokohama) is a large multiuse stadium in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, opened in 1998. It is Japan’s largest stadium by seating capacity and a major venue for international football and rugby matches.

The stadium’s bowl accommodates roughly 72,000 spectators and includes tiered seating around a natural grass pitch. It is fitted for large-scale events including international finals and has corporate and VIP facilities, media booths, and mixed-use spaces for concerts and sports.

Built between the mid-1990s and 1998 for top-level sport and events, it became widely known after hosting the 2002 FIFA World Cup final. Since opening it has served as the home stadium for J.League club Yokohama F. Marinos and has hosted major rugby and concert events, including the 2019 Rugby World Cup final.

The stadium sits in Yokohama’s urban area, near the Shin-Yokohama district in Kanagawa Prefecture, within the greater Tokyo metropolitan region. It is served by regional and local rail links and local roads that connect to central Yokohama and Tokyo.

By car the stadium is reachable via the Yokohama road network and expressways; expect heavy traffic on match days and follow event signage for parking and drop-off.
