Nikola Šubić Zrinski Square, commonly known as Zrinjevac, is a planted urban square and park in central Zagreb’s Donji Grad. It forms one element of the city’s 19th-century ring of parks often referred to as the Green or Lenuci Horseshoe.
The square is planted with mature trees and contains walkways, benches and a small music pavilion that hosts concerts and public events. Surrounding buildings include cultural and institutional structures that frame the park.
The park was laid out in the late 19th century during Zagreb’s period of urban expansion under Austro-Hungarian administration. It has since remained a formal public green space and venue for civic activity.
Zrinjevac sits in central Zagreb’s Donji Grad neighborhood, a short walk from the main square and other central cultural institutions.
