Ngadi Chuli
Mountain High Himalayan peak (Nepal), challenging mountaineering objective.
Ngadi Chuli is a high mountain in Nepal’s Himalaya range, located in Gandaki Pradesh. It forms part of the high central Nepal ranges and is known among mountaineers as a challenging, remote peak.
The mountain’s slopes are steep and glaciated, demanding technical alpine climbing skills for any summit attempt; successful ascents are relatively rare compared with more prominent neighbouring peaks. Because of its remoteness and technical difficulty, approaches typically involve long trek-ins from established base valleys and glaciated routes.
Geographically Ngadi Chuli sits within the complex of high peaks in central Nepal and is accessed from valleys in Gandaki Pradesh; the nearest regional towns serve as staging points for expeditions into the high mountain valleys.
- Climbing note: A high Himalayan summit that is remote and less frequently climbed than neighbouring peak groups - expeditions require advanced technical skills and careful logistical planning.
