Nekresi Monastery is the medieval monastic component within the wider Nekresi archaeological complex in Kakheti, eastern Georgia. It consists of church buildings and monastic precincts clustered on a hill.
The monastery preserves the layout and structural remains typical of medieval Georgian monastic sites, including a principal church, ancillary chapels and defensive masonry. It has been the focus of archaeological and conservation interest due to its layered history.
The monastic site was part of the broader religious landscape of Kakheti and reflects phases of construction and use across the medieval period. It remains a visible element of the Nekresi ensemble and a destination for visitors to the region.
