National Museum of Hutsulshchyna and Pokuttia Folk Art Museum

The National Museum of Hutsulshchyna and Pokuttia Folk Art is a regional museum in Kolomyia, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, dedicated to the traditional arts and material culture of the Hutsul and Pokuttia areas. It preserves and exhibits folk costumes, woodcarving, ceramics, textiles and religious folk art from these mountainous and foothill communities.

Displays emphasise the craftsmanship and everyday cultural objects of Hutsul and Pokuttia life, with many examples of decorated household items, carved furniture and embroidered clothing. The museum documents local traditions and artisanal techniques important to regional identity.

The museum functions as a cultural centre for the preservation of Mountain Ukrainian folk art and participates in research and exhibitions related to the region’s ethnography.

It is located in the town of Kolomyia in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast.
