Mytilene Travel Guide
City Capital of Lesbos island in Greece
Mytilene’s waterfront citadel, Ottoman-era houses and waterfront tavernas make the town a hub for exploring Lesbos: ouzo distilleries, archaeology at the Archaeological Museum, and ferry routes to quieter beaches.
Why Visit Mytilene? #
Perched on Lesbos’s east coast, Mytilene is an island capital where maritime life, food and history intersect. The medieval Castle of Mytilene overlooks a waterfront of neoclassical mansions and cafés, while local ouzo distilleries and seafood tavernas showcase island flavors.
