Museum Van Loon

Museum Van Loon is a historic canal house museum on the Keizersgracht in Amsterdam that preserves the residence of the Van Loon family. The building dates from the 17th century and is presented as an intact city house with period interiors.

The museum displays furnished period rooms with family portraits, decorative arts and household objects that illustrate domestic life for a wealthy Amsterdam family. Visitors can also see the house garden and the carriage house, which together show aspects of urban elite living and transport.
