About Musée Jacquemart-André#
The Musée Jacquemart-André is a private house museum in Paris created from the former mansion and collection of art collectors Édouard André and Nélie Jacquemart. The museum’s rooms retain the character of a late 19th-century hôtel particulier and display a collection focused on Italian Renaissance paintings and French decorative arts.
The collection and the mansion were bequeathed to the public after the collectors’ deaths; the house-museum opened to visitors in the early 20th century and presents the collection in situ within ornate reception rooms and salons. Temporary exhibitions are also staged alongside the permanent displays.
