How to Get to Muiden#
Muiden is a short hop from Amsterdam and Schiphol; arrive by plane at Schiphol and continue by NS train to Weesp/Amsterdam and then a short bus, taxi or cycle ride to Muiden. The town is very well connected to the Dutch public-transport network.
Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS): Schiphol is the primary international airport for reaching Muiden. From Schiphol take a direct NS train to Amsterdam Centraal or Weesp and then a short bus or local taxi to Muiden; total travel time is commonly 30-60 minutes depending on connections. Rail fares within the Netherlands are typically around €4-7 for the airport→Amsterdam/Weesp leg.
Schiphol (alternate ground routes): If you prefer fewer transfers, you can take a train to Weesp and then a local bus or cycle to Muiden (see below) - travel times and fares are similar to the Amsterdam-centred route.
Train: The nearest major rail hubs are Weesp and Amsterdam Centraal (both served by NS). Trains to Weesp are frequent from Schiphol and Amsterdam. From Weesp it’s a short local bus, taxi or cycle ride to Muiden.
Bus: Local Connexxion/Keolis buses serve Muiden from surrounding hubs; there are direct bus links from Weesp and Amsterdam suburbs. Bus journeys from Amsterdam typically take around 20-40 minutes and cost a few euros; use an OV-chipkaart or buy single tickets on buses where accepted.

Muiden links cheaply and quickly to Amsterdam and Schiphol by train plus a short bus or bike ride. For most visitors the fastest and cheapest approach is NS train to Weesp/Amsterdam then cycle or bus into Muiden.
