Mount Klabat is a volcanic mountain in North Sulawesi, Indonesia, and the highest peak in the province at about 1,995 meters. It is a prominent landmark overlooking the surrounding lowlands and the port city of Manado.

Hiking routes ascend through tropical montane forest to open ridgelines that give views over nearby islands and coastal plains. Trails are non-technical but steep in places and are used by local trekkers for day and overnight trips.

The mountain is of volcanic origin and forms part of the island’s upland volcanic terrain; it has not been the site of notable recent eruptions in modern records. Local maps and guides identify established footpaths and minor summits used by visitors.

Mount Klabat sits close to the northern coast of Sulawesi, within reach of Manado and surrounding regencies, rising directly from coastal lowlands to its summit.

  • Elevation: Sits at about 1,995 meters above sea level and is the highest peak in North Sulawesi province.
  • Access: Common approaches begin from the city of Manado and nearby regency roadheads; trails pass through tropical montane forest with steep sections near the summit.
