How to Get to Gunung Klabat
Gunung Klabat is the highest peak of North Sulawesi and is approached from the Manado area. Travel by car or bus from Manado into Minahasa/Minahasa Utara regency to reach the mountain’s access roads and base villages; journey times from Manado to the mountain area are typically a road trip of a few dozen kilometres and take under a couple of hours by car depending on your exact start point.
From the local base villages you proceed on foot along established trails to the summit-arrange local transport and a guide in Manado or the nearby regency towns.

- Aim to climb in Sulawesi's dry season (roughly May-September) when trails are less muddy and afternoon storms are less likely to develop.
