Mount Ibu is an active volcano on the island of Halmahera in North Maluku, Indonesia. It is noted for an open summit crater and ongoing fumarolic and eruptive activity.

The volcano produces frequent small to moderate explosive events, ash emissions and lava dome activity at times, which are monitored by Indonesian volcanological agencies. Access to the immediate summit area is restricted when activity increases.

Mount Ibu occupies part of Halmahera’s volcanic landscape and is one of the active volcanic centers in the North Maluku province. The mountain is approached from nearby coastal settlements on Halmahera.
