Mount Bazardüzü is the highest mountain in Azerbaijan, reaching an elevation of 4,466 metres and forming part of the Greater Caucasus range. The peak straddles the Azerbaijan-Russia border and is a prominent alpine landmark.
The mountain is a destination for mountaineers and experienced hikers, offering steep ridges and alpine conditions that require appropriate equipment and acclimatisation. Routes approach the summit from valleys on either side of the border and conditions can include snow and ice outside the summer months.
