Moominworld

Moominworld is a character-driven family theme park in Naantali, Finland, built around Tove Jansson’s Moomin books and characters. The park is sited on the small island of Kailo in Naantali harbour.

The park is aimed primarily at families with young children and centers on the Moominhouse, interactive character performances, themed play areas and simple rides. Activities are seasonal and focused on storytelling, live appearances by costumed characters and child-friendly exploration.

Moominworld was created to bring the Moomin stories to life as a visitor attraction and has grown into a regular seasonal destination for families visiting southwestern Finland. It operates in close partnership with Moomin rights holders to keep designs and programming faithful to the books.

Located on Kailo island next to Naantali’s harbour on Finland’s southwest coast, the park is about 15 kilometres west of Turku and is accessible from Naantali’s town centre on foot from the harbour.
