Monumento a la Revolución

The Monumento a la Revolución is a monumental domed structure in Mexico City at Plaza de la República that commemorates the Mexican Revolution. It occupies the central plaza and incorporates a mausoleum and museum beneath a large cupola.

Visitors commonly use the elevator to reach a circular observation gallery beneath the dome for panoramic views of Paseo de la Reforma and nearby districts. The complex also houses exhibition space and the mausoleum for several revolutionary-era figures.

The building was completed in the 1930s on the shell of an earlier planned legislative palace; it was repurposed and finished as a national monument and commemorative site in the decades after the Revolution.
