The Monument to the Ghetto Heroes is a commemorative sculpture in central Warsaw that marks the site of the former Warsaw Ghetto and honors Jewish resistance and victims of deportations. The monument was designed by sculptor Natan Rapoport and was unveiled in 1948.

The memorial comprises figurative bronze groups and relief panels set against a stone backdrop, depicting fighters, scenes of deportation and symbolic figures. It functions as a focal point for remembrance and is visited by tourists, school groups and relatives of victims.

Erected in the immediate postwar years, the monument explicitly commemorates the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising of April 1943 and the mass deportations that preceded and followed it. It has remained a central site of public memory for Jewish Warsaw and Poland’s Holocaust remembrance program.

The monument stands in the Muranów area of central Warsaw at the historic perimeter of the former ghetto, close to locations associated with the wartime Jewish quarter.
