Monapo (Nampula Province) is usually reached by road from Nampula city (the provincial capital) after flying into Nampula Airport (APL). Road travel is the main way to access district towns; rail passenger options are limited so plan on bus or taxi transfers.
Nampula Airport (APL): The nearest major airport for Nampula Province. From Nampula city you can continue by road to Monapo (Monapo District); the drive takes around 1-2 hours depending on route and road condition - taxis and private transfers are the usual option.
Maputo or Pemba alternatives: For international connections travellers typically fly into Maputo (MPM) or Nampula (APL); Maputo is very distant. Choose Nampula for the shortest land transfer to Monapo.
