Mohave Point is one of the established overlook locations along the South Rim within Grand Canyon National Park, which was designated a national park in 1919. The point has long been used as a public viewing area rather than for permanent structures or development.

How to Get to Mohave Point #
Mohave Point is on the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park near Grand Canyon Village. From the Village, it is an easy walk along the paved Rim Trail or a short drive; the South Rim is reached via Arizona State Route 64. Grand Canyon National Park is a long drive from Flagstaff or Williams; many visitors enter via the park’s South Entrance. Park entry fees apply.

- For the best light, arrive before sunset-Mohave Point is one of the South Rim's best spots for the low-angle glow and dramatic cross-shadows on the canyon walls.
- Walk the Rim Trail in either direction from Grand Canyon Village to reach Mohave Point; the stretch is paved and easy, but the views reward those who detour a few metres off the rails.
- Bring a sweater-the South Rim sits above 7,000 ft, and temperatures can drop quickly after sunset.
