Tunis-Carthage International Airport (TUN): For wider international connections travellers also arrive at Tunis and continue by domestic flight, bus or car to Medenine Governorate and Djerba; travel time from Tunis to Djerba by road or combined transport is several hours.
Train: Tunisia’s national rail network does not reach Djerba island; there is no rail link to Midoun.
Bus: Louages (shared minivans) and intercity buses connect Djerba with other Tunisian cities. On the island local buses and dolmus‑style services link Midoun with Houmt Souk (the island’s main town), Djerba airport and beaches; travel times across the island are short (typically under 30-45 minutes).
