Marina 101 is a 101-storey mixed-use skyscraper in the Dubai Marina district of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, noted for its height and skyline presence. It reaches roughly 425 metres to the roof and is primarily residential with hotel components planned during development.
The building dominates the Dubai Marina skyline and is most often appreciated for its exterior profile from the marina promenade and surrounding high-rises. It is commonly photographed alongside the marina canal, waterfront promenades and nearby leisure developments. The tower’s scale - over 100 floors - is the main reason people visit the area rather than the building interior.
Construction began in the late 2000s as part of the rapid high-rise expansion of Dubai Marina; the project experienced phased completion and fit-out over subsequent years. Ownership and usage plans have evolved during and after construction as the building moved from developer finish to occupation.
Marina 101 sits on the waterfront within the Dubai Marina district, on the western shoreline of the artificial marina canal. It lies within the Emirate of Dubai and is part of the cluster of tall residential and hotel towers that line Sheikh Zayed Road and the marina channel.

How to Get to Marina 101 #
By public transit: Take the Dubai Metro Red Line to DAMAC Properties or DMCC station, then transfer to the Dubai Tram and alight at one of the Dubai Marina tram stops (Marina Towers/Marina Promenade). From the tram stop it’s an easy 5-10 minute walk along Dubai Marina Walk to Marina 101.
By car: Approach via Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) and follow signs for Dubai Marina / Al Sufouh Road (D94). From Dubai International Airport it’s roughly a 30-40 minute drive (about 35 km) depending on traffic; from Downtown Dubai expect around a 20-30 minute drive.
Tips for Visiting Marina 101 #
- Visit Marina 101 from the Dubai Marina promenade at sunset and after dark - the building's facade and the whole Marina skyline light up and photograph best from across the water rather than from street level.
- Arrive by Dubai Metro + Tram rather than driving to avoid marina parking congestion; get off at the Marina/Tram stops and walk the Marina Walk for the best viewpoints and restaurants.
- If you want quieter views, go early weekday mornings or late evenings when the promenade is far less busy than weekend evenings, and seek vantage points a little north along the marina for clean reflections of the tower.
