Mariatorget is a public square and small park in the Södermalm district of central Stockholm, Sweden. It functions as a local meeting place and transport node and gives its name to the adjacent metro station.
The square contains lawns, benches and cafés and is frequently used by locals rather than large tourist crowds. It lies close to the parish church that gave the square its name and to several Södermalm shops and restaurants.
The name derives from the nearby Maria Magdalena parish church. Over time the area developed from 18th and 19th-century urban expansion into a mixed residential and commercial neighbourhood.
Mariatorget sits on Södermalm, about 1.5 kilometres south of Stockholm Central Station and within easy walking distance of Slussen and Gamla stan.
- Getting there: Located on the island of Södermalm, a short walk from Slussen and the city centre; the square is served by the Mariatorget station on the Stockholm Metro's red line.
- When to go: Good for café terraces and people-watching; best visited in late spring to early autumn when the small park is in use.

In central Stockholm. Reachable by Metro (Red Line) to Mariatorget station or by tram and multiple bus routes serving Södermalm. The square is a short walk from Slussen.

- Walk the hill toward Maria Magdalena Church for a quieter perspective and good views of the square.
- Visit the nearby cafés on Mariatorget's eastern edge in the late afternoon to watch local life and students from nearby Södermalm schools.
- During winter markets the square is lively; take a moment to inspect the Art Nouveau façades that face the plaza.
