The Malapa Fossil Site is a paleoanthropological site within the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Area in Gauteng, South Africa, noted for the discovery of exceptionally preserved early hominin fossils. Excavations at Malapa yielded remains attributed to a species described as Australopithecus sediba, which have contributed to debates about human evolution and transitional morphology.

The site was discovered and excavated in the early 21st century, with the notable finds announced in 2008 by researchers including Lee R. Berger. The fossils from Malapa are dated to nearly two million years ago and include both adult and juvenile individuals preserved in a sedimentary deposit.
