About Majevica

Majevica is a low mountain range in northeastern Bosnia and Herzegovina, forming a modest forested ridge rather than high alpine peaks. It is a landscape of wooded slopes, small villages and local rural land uses.

Trailheads and country roads provide access to viewpoints and hamlets on and around the ridge, making it a destination for local walkers and nature outings rather than international tourism.

The range has served local forestry and grazing needs and lies within the broader upland terrain of northeastern Bosnia. It does not contain major urban centres but is part of the rural hinterland of the region.

Geographically, Majevica occupies northeastern Bosnia and Herzegovina, within reach of regional towns such as Tuzla and surrounding districts.
