By Air

Las Américas International Airport (SDQ) / Punta Cana (PUJ): For Monte Plata Province the main international gateways are Las Américas (SDQ) in Santo Domingo and Punta Cana (PUJ) further east. Santo Domingo (SDQ) is the more logical arrival point for Monte Plata; from SDQ you can rent a car or take a bus toward Monte Plata Province. Transfers to small towns like Majagual are by road and can take a couple of hours depending on exact location.
