Lyme Park

Lyme Park is a large country estate with a historic house and extensive parkland near Disley in Cheshire, England. It is managed by the National Trust and is notable for its house, gardens and deer park.

The core of the house dates to the 16th century and the property was altered and extended in subsequent centuries, giving it a mix of architectural styles. Over time the estate evolved from a private country seat to a publicly accessible site under National Trust care.

Situated in the Peak District fringe near the village of Disley in Cheshire, roughly to the south-east of Manchester and within easy driving distance of Stockport and surrounding towns.

• Filming location: The estate comprises extensive landscaped parkland with long walking routes, and the house was used as the exterior of Mr Darcy's Pemberley in the 1995 BBC production of Pride and Prejudice.
