Drive: Loc An Beach (Bãi Lộc An) on Vietnam’s southeast coast is reached by road via National Route 55 (Quốc lộ 55). It’s commonly driven to from Ho Chi Minh City in roughly 2-3 hours (around 120-140 km depending on start point and route) following the coastal/connector roads toward Long Hải / Xuyên Mộc.

Public transport: Several coach operators run from Mien Dong (Eastern) Bus Station in Ho Chi Minh City to Long Hải / Xuyên Mộc; from those towns a short taxi or motorbike ride (typically 10-20 minutes) brings you to the beach.

  • Visit Loc An Beach either early in the morning or around sunset to avoid the local weekend crowds from nearby Ho Tram and to catch better light for photos of the shoreline.
  • Enter from the coastal road (the main highway linking Ho Tram and Xuyên Mộc) and follow signs toward the village rather than the larger resort entrances - this puts you closer to quieter public stretches and the local seafood stalls.
  • Walk beyond the main beachfront area toward the small fishing hamlet; many visitors miss the working village and the simple seafood eateries a short distance from the main sand.
