How to Get to Lisse#
Lisse is best reached via Amsterdam Schiphol (by train) or via Leiden/Hoofddorp rail hubs, then a short bus or taxi to town - Lisse itself has no train station. In peak flower season bus services are the practical last-mile option.
Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS): Schiphol is the closest major airport. From Schiphol take an NS train to Leiden Centraal (about 15-20 minutes, €5-7). From Leiden Centraal catch the Arriva/Connexxion or local bus towards Lisse (bus 50/430 or equivalents depending on operator) - the bus ride is about 20-30 minutes and single fares are roughly €2-3.
Rotterdam The Hague / Eindhoven: These airports are further and less convenient; travellers to Lisse almost always use Schiphol or arrive by train via Leiden or Haarlem.
Train: Lisse does not have its own railway station. Nearest stations are Sassenheim, Hillegom and Leiden Centraal. From Leiden Centraal to central Lisse by bus or local taxi is about 15-25 minutes; train to Sassenheim or Hillegom takes 10-15 minutes from Leiden and then a short bus/taxi to Lisse.
