How to Get to Libohovë
Libohovë (Gjirokastër County) is most practically reached by road from Tirana, Ioannina (Greece) or Gjirokastër. There is no reliable rail connection, so expect to use buses, minibuses or taxis for the final leg.
Tirana International Airport Nënë Tereza (TIA): Tirana is the main international airport for southern Albania, and from there you can travel by road to Libohovë (approximately 2-3 hours depending on route). A taxi from Tirana Airport to Libohovë will be lengthy and relatively expensive (~€80-120). Alternatively fly into Ioannina (IOA) in Greece and cross the border by road if that suits your itinerary.
