How to Get to Lamjung District
Lamjung District is usually reached via Kathmandu (international) or Pokhara (domestic) with overland buses, tourist coaches or jeep transfers into the district. Many internal routes are served by road only, and travel times depend heavily on road conditions and weather.
Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu (KTM): Kathmandu is the main international gateway for Lamjung District. From KTM you can take a domestic flight to Pokhara (PKR) then continue by road, or travel overland directly by bus/jeep to the district; domestic flights are operated by Nepal Airlines, Buddha Air and Yeti Airlines.
Pokhara Airport (PKR): Pokhara is the closest airport with frequent domestic flights from Kathmandu (about 25-30 minutes). From Pokhara you continue by road to settlements in Lamjung District (several hours by bus or jeep depending on your final village).
Train: Nepal has no national passenger rail network linking Kathmandu or Pokhara to Lamjung; trains are not an option.
Bus: Direct buses and tourist/coaches run from Kathmandu or Pokhara to Besisahar (the administrative centre of Lamjung) and other local towns. Besisahar is a common gateway for treks into the district; bus journeys from Pokhara take around 2-4 hours and from Kathmandu 6-8+ hours depending on road conditions and traffic.

Lamjung District is mountainous; travel is mostly by road (buses and jeep services) between district centres such as Besisahar and neighboring cities like Pokhara.
