Lake Vrana (Dalmatia), locally Vransko jezero, is a natural lake in Zadar County in Croatia’s Dalmatian interior and is protected within a nature park. It is an inland wetland and one of the region’s important freshwater habitats.

The lake and adjacent marshes are visited for birdwatching, walking and nature observation; park trails and observation points highlight reedbeds and islands that shelter waterfowl. Small villages and agricultural lands lie around the lake shore.

The lake occupies a karst basin and has supported local fisheries and agriculture for centuries; in modern times it has been managed for conservation and recreation as part of a nature park. Traditional land uses continue around the protected area.

Lake Vrana sits near the Adriatic coast in Zadar County, Dalmatia, Croatia, positioned between coastal towns and inland karst fields and reachable by regional roads from Zadar and nearby coastal communities.

From Zadar it is a drive of roughly 30-40 minutes on the coastal and local roads (follow the D8 Adriatic highway toward Biograd and turn inland to the lake area); regional buses between Zadar/Biograd serve nearby towns and parking/visitor points are a short walk from main access roads. Bring local maps - the park has several marked access spots and nature trails.

• Enter through the Nature Park facilities near Vrana/Pakoštane to use marked trails, birdwatching hides and the visitor information-those park entry points provide maps and the best access.
• Visit early morning or late afternoon for peak bird activity and to avoid the summer heat and day-tripper crowds that arrive from the coast.
• Rent a bike or follow the park's cycle routes to reach quieter shores and hidden viewpoints; many visitors only stop at the main car parks and miss these quieter stretches.
