Lake Smaller Ritsa is a high-mountain lake in the Ritsa lake group in the Greater Caucasus, in the Abkhazia region of Georgia. It is a smaller companion basin to the better-known Lake Ritsa in the same mountain cluster.
The lake is one of several glacial or mountain-formed basins in the Ritsa area and is visited for its mountain scenery and proximity to larger lake viewpoints. Access and visitor facilities are concentrated around the main Lake Ritsa, with Smaller Ritsa forming part of the same natural complex.
The Ritsa lakes and surrounding landscape developed through glacial and mountain geomorphological processes; the area was later designated and managed for its natural value as part of the regional reserve around Lake Ritsa.
