Krāslava is the regional hub. From Daugavpils (the nearest city with regular rail service), a regional bus to Krāslava followed by local taxi or bicycle will reach the lake area (drive about 30-50 minutes depending on exact shore chosen). Roads near the lake are minor; a local map or directions from Krāslava tourist information are recommended.
