Lake Sagami (Sagami-ko) is a reservoir in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, located near the city of Sagamihara. It functions as a managed water body used for supply and recreational activities in the region.
The lakeshore hosts parkland and leisure facilities used for boating, fishing and seasonal events; the reservoir is a local recreational destination for Kanagawa residents. Visitor services are concentrated at a few developed areas rather than spread evenly around the shore.
The waterbody was created and modified by dam and reservoir works in the 20th century to serve water-supply and flood-control needs for the surrounding region. Over time recreational use has become an established secondary function.
Geographically it lies within inland Kanagawa Prefecture, near Sagamihara and within commuting distance of the greater Tokyo metropolitan area.

How to Get to Lake Sagami #
Lake Sagami (Sagami-ko) is served by JR: take the JR Chūō Line to Sagamiko Station (相模湖駅) and then walk along the lakeshore roads to the reservoir (about a 10-20 minute walk from the station depending on your destination around the lake). By car, the lake is reached from the Sagamihara area via Route 413 (the road runs close to the lake) and local prefectural roads; there is roadside parking at several park/recreation spots around the reservoir.
