Lake Qaraoun is an artificial reservoir in Lebanon’s Beqaa Governorate created on the Litani River. It is the largest man-made lake in Lebanon and an important component of the region’s water management.
The reservoir and surrounding lakeshore attract local visitors for informal recreation and birdwatching, and the area supports irrigation and fisheries. Access and facilities are limited compared with natural tourist destinations.
