Lake El Golfete is a long, narrow lake in Guatemala’s Izabal Department that forms part of the Río Dulce waterway connecting Lake Izabal to the lower river and the Caribbean. It is a working waterway used by cargo and passenger boats as well as smaller tourist craft.
