Lake Acıgöl is an inland saline lake in western Turkey known for its high mineral content. The lake lies in an endorheic basin and its water level and surface area fluctuate seasonally and between years.
The lake’s salt-rich sediments have been used for industrial extraction of sodium sulfate and related minerals, making it of economic as well as ecological interest. The shoreline and surrounding plain are sparsely populated and primarily agricultural in land use.
Lake Acıgöl is located in western Anatolia within inland plains of Turkey; it is not adjacent to a major metropolitan centre but is regionally significant for mineral resources and local agriculture.

Lake Acıgöl is in western Turkey between Denizli and Eğirdir regions. The nearest larger towns are Denizli and Burdur; reach the lake via regional roads (D585 and local connectors). Road conditions can be variable; a car is recommended.
