How to Get to Kuusalu
Kuusalu is most conveniently reached from Tallinn (Lennart Meri Airport, TLL) by car or regional bus. There is no direct passenger train into the village, so buses or driving are the practical choices.
Lennart Meri Tallinn Airport (TLL): Tallinn’s airport is the closest international airport to Kuusalu. From TLL you can continue by taxi or rental car to Kuusalu (drive ~35-50 minutes depending on route).
Note: There are no airports in Kuusalu itself; all scheduled air arrivals use Tallinn (TLL).
Train: Estonian rail services (Elron) do not directly serve Kuusalu village; the nearest Elron lines head inland toward Aegviidu and Rakvere rather than the coastal Kuusalu area.
Bus: Regional buses connect Tallinn’s northern bus terminals (such as Tallinn Bus Station, Linnahall area) with Kuusalu and other villages in Harju County. Buses are the standard public-transport option to reach Kuusalu from Tallinn; journey time is roughly 40-60 minutes depending on service and traffic.

Kuusalu is a small borough close to Lahemaa National Park; it’s easily navigable on foot within the village. Public buses connect Kuusalu with Tallinn and neighbouring towns, though services are limited outside peak times.
