Kundur is an inhabited island in the Riau Islands province of Indonesia and is administratively part of Karimun Regency. It is one of the larger islands in the archipelago located between Sumatra and the Singapore Strait.
The island contains coastal towns and small ports and supports local economies based on fishing, coastal trade and small-scale agriculture. The main town and port is Tanjungbatu, which functions as the island’s transport and services centre.
