How to Get to Kular Range #

Getting here means logistics before beauty. The nearest regional hubs are Yakutsk (YKS) and the smaller Arctic ports and settlements of Bulunsky and Tiksi; from Yakutsk most visitors arrange charter flights north or multi-day river voyages during summer thaw. For scientific or guided expeditions the usual gateway is a chartered helicopter from a regional center or a long river approach by shallow-draft boat and then overland by tracked vehicle or skis, depending on season. Independent access without a guide is not recommended.
