Kobe Port Tower is a distinctive red steel observation tower on the waterfront of Kobe, Japan, reaching 108 metres in height and completed in 1963. Its hyperboloid lattice design is a local landmark in the Meriken Park area.
Public observation decks give 360-degree views across the city, Kobe harbour and Osaka Bay; on clear days the Rokko mountains are visible from the tower. The tower and surrounding port area are lit at night, making it a popular spot for evening visits.

Take JR (Tokaido/Sanyo) or private lines to Sannomiya Station (the city’s main rail hub served by JR, Hanshin and Hankyu) and walk about 10-15 minutes south to Meriken Park; Motomachi and Kobe Harborland stations are also within a 10-20 minute walk. Local sightseeing buses (Kobe City Loop) stop at the harbor area. By car, Kobe is about 30-40 km from central Osaka (roughly a 30-45 minute drive depending on traffic).
