Best Time to Visit Kilosa #

Kilosa's best travel windows depend on what you want: go June-September for cooler, drier trekking and wildlife viewing; avoid heavy long rains in March-May. Short rains (Oct-Dec) are wetter but less intense than the long season.

Long Rains
March - May · 16-28 °C (61-82 °F)
Heavy, sustained downpours make rural roads difficult and many trails muddy - bring waterproof gear and expect interrupted travel and lush green scenery.
Short Rains
October - December · 20-30 °C (68-86 °F)
Showery, unpredictable weather with frequent afternoon storms; fewer tourists and vivid landscapes, but plan flexible transport and accept some rain days.
Dry Season
June - September · 18-32 °C (64-90 °F)
Cooler mornings and reliably dry days make this the easiest time for bush travel and walking; vegetation less dense, mosquitoes reduced.
