Transfers from the airstrip to the town centre are short (a few minutes) by taxi or vehicle; fares are modest but variable-confirm locally.

Dushanbe (DYU): International flights arrive at Dushanbe; overland travel to Khorog involves long mountain road journeys (M41/Pamir Highway) or a domestic flight to Khorog when available. Overland travel takes 24+ hours by road with multiple stops and requires planning; costs depend on vehicle hire or bus options.

By Train & Bus

Train: There is no rail service to Khorog; the high Pamir region is accessed by road or air only.

Bus / Marshrutka: Overland access is by long-distance marshrutkas or shared taxis along the Pamir Highway from points like Osh (Kyrgyzstan) or Dushanbe; travel is slow and often takes one or more days, with fares varying by vehicle and route. Expect basic conditions and plan for stops and weather delays.
