How to Get to Kerteminde#
Kerteminde on Funen is best reached via Odense (train or car) or via Billund/Copenhagen with a rail/bus connection. The Odense-Kerteminde link is well served by regional buses and is convenient for day trips.
Odense Airport / Billund / Copenhagen: Kerteminde (on Funen) is most conveniently reached via Billund (BLL) or Odense area airports, or via Copenhagen Airport (CPH) followed by a train. From Odense (rail hub) or Billund you can drive or take buses to Kerteminde; driving from Odense takes about 25-35 minutes. Taxis from Odense are a direct 30-40 minute transfer.
Copenhagen (CPH): From Copenhagen Airport take the train to Odense (about 1.5-2 hours) and then regional bus or taxi to Kerteminde (total travel ~2-2.5 hours).
Train: The nearest major railway station is Odense H, on the national rail network. Trains between Copenhagen and Odense run frequently and take ~1.5-2 hours. From Odense you continue by local bus or taxi to Kerteminde (about 25-35 minutes).
Bus: FynBus operates regional buses on Funen connecting Odense and Kerteminde. Bus rides are regular; single fares are modest and depend on zones-buy tickets via the FynBus app or on board where possible.
