How to Get to Kangto #
Approach depends on the side of the mountain targeted. The Indian access is typically staged from Tawang (Arunachal Pradesh) or Ziro; Tawang is connected by road to Tezpur and Guwahati (Assam) and has bus services and roads used by expedition logistics. From Tawang or Ziro, reach the trailhead by local jeep and foot over multiple days. Permits may be required for border areas - climbers should contact Arunachal Pradesh forest and local authorities in advance.

- Mountain weather changes fast - start before dawn and expect deep fog even in summer.
- No marked base-camp facilities: arrange permits and a local guide with contacts in Ziro or Tawang.
