The waterfall’s scale - roughly 105 metres in height and around 400 metres across at peak flow - creates a striking natural landmark and is a focal point for visitors to the region. Nearby viewpoints and trails allow visitors to observe the falls and the gorge downriver.
The falls lie in a savanna and woodland landscape in central Angola, served by road access from the provincial capital Malanje and forming part of a local network of natural attractions and riverine landscapes.
