How to Get to Kajaran
Kajaran (Syunik Province) is reached mainly by road from Yerevan or regional towns - there are no direct rail links; marshrutkas, intercity buses or private transfers are the usual options for the multi‑hour journey south.
Zvartnots International Airport (EVN): The main international airport for travel to Kajaran and Syunik Province. From Yerevan you will travel overland (bus, shared taxi or private car) toward Kapan/Kajaran - the journey is long (several hours) and often done by road.
Shirak / regional options: There are no convenient direct domestic flights that make air travel into Kajaran itself practical; overland routes from Yerevan are the usual approach.
Train: Armenia’s rail network does not provide a direct, practical rail link to Kajaran.
Bus / marshrutka: Long-distance buses and shared minibuses (marshrutkas) depart Yerevan for Kapan; from Kapan or Goris you can arrange local transport to Kajaran. Road travel is the standard method for reaching Kajaran.
