Augusto C. Sandino International Airport (MGA) - Managua: Managua is the main international gateway for Nicaragua. From Managua to Jiquilillo the most common overland options are private shuttle or bus; road travel typically takes about 3.5-4.5 hours depending on route and stops. Shared shuttles from Managua to the Chinandega coast often cost roughly USD 20-40 per person.

Palo Alto / regional airfields: There are no major regular commercial flights to Jiquilillo itself; some charter flights/private aircraft can land at small regional strips, but these must be arranged in advance.

By Train & Bus
