Jiquilillo is a small coastal community in Chinandega Department, Nicaragua. International visitors arrive via Managua (MGA) and continue by road-there are no train services; shuttles, buses and private transfers are the standard options.

From Managua to Jiquilillo the most common overland options are private shuttle or bus; road travel typically takes about 3.5-4.5 hours depending on route and stops. Shared shuttles from Managua to the Chinandega coast often cost roughly USD 20-40 per person.
Palo Alto / regional airfields: There are no major regular commercial flights to Jiquilillo itself; some charter flights/private aircraft can land at small regional strips, but these must be arranged in advance.
Bus / Interlocal coach: Nicaragua has an intercity bus network (chicken buses and express buses).
